RETScreen is a widely used and recognized project analysis software developed by the Government of Canada, and may be downloaded FREE of cost from www.retscreen.net.
This seminar will give a hands-on introduction to the analytical methods employed by software RETScreen, as well as its resource and product databases. Analysis methods include energy systems, financial, economic, risk and sensitivity, and greenhouse gas analysis.
This seminar will provide an introduction to the principles of solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy technologies for residences and small commercial and industrial customers.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to review and build project analysis models for photovoltaic (PV) systems.
This workshop targets professionals involved in project finance and funding, investments, insurance, accounting, project due diligence, project appraisal, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, consulting, engineering, etc.
There will also be a display of solar PV technology and other energy equipment.
The seminar
is taught by Barbadian national Dr. Roland Clarke, who is a member of the
RETScreen International Network of Experts.
He was an invited speaker to the inaugural RETScreen Conference held
recently in Niagara, Canada. He has also delivered seminars to the World Bank
in Washington, DC, Jakarta – Indonesia, Manila – Philippines, and Hanoi – Vietnam,
plus the Energy Research Institute, Bejing - China.
